Scary Time is a multimedia storybook created by HyperAction with year 4 children (8-9 yrs.) at Hywel Dda Junior School, Cardiff. The subject is a haunted house and enchanted garden.

Two classes were involved in the project. One class worked on the house and the other on the garden. Each consists of a selection of "rooms". In the house there is a kitchen with Gary Goblin, the gruesome chef, a gallery showing images of some of the children before and after they have been "changed", four bedrooms full of ghosts and ghouls popping out of cupboards and telling there chilling tales, a bathroom where the children trapped in the mirror tell their tales of woe, a nursery with unfortunate toys, and an attic with some interesting insects.

The garden has a maze, a shrubbery, a statue garden where all the teachers have been turned to stone, wild woods, and a lazy lawn where you can read the books the children have designed and written.

HyperActio is able to bring to venues a complete portable IT suite, including 6 laptop computers, a scanner, digital photographic and sound recording equipment and a multimedia projector for 'big screen projection' and group activities.
