Brynhyfryd Primary School CD Rom
Design and Weave Project Presentation

The Brynhyfryd project involved the production of individual and group weaving as well as a larger communal woven tapestry. As a part of the project, an interactive multimedia CD Rom is being produced to document the work the children did in design and weave. The presentation is being made in PowerPoint with the structure of a website. This allows complete control of the interactivity by the viewer. Following some training by me in PowerPoint techniques, Dawn Davies, the school's IT co-ordinator, we presented Mrs. Davies's class (year 4/5) with the a job brief. After some practice the children were able to go ahead and produce most of the screens for the presentation with very little help from myself an or Mrs. Davies.

Video footage and sound recordings were taken and edited by me so that the school had all the component parts for a the presentation ready to use. All the children were recorded making comments and giving commentary on the project and were able to see how the editing of the sound was done. The year 4/5 children also had to design all the buttons for the CD and will be working on a design for the CD cover. The splash screen, autorun feature and mastering of the CD Rom will be done by me, Alastair Duncan.
