Tapestry Design and Weave

From Interactive CD and DVD ROMs to large scale digital prints, a vast range of skills are needed and taught to those taking part in the projects we can deliver.

Starting from scratch project participants of all ages discover what goes into producing the kinds of products we use in schools and in the home every day from videos to games, encyclopaedias to cartoons.

Working in ways and with software and equipment that is practical and affordable (or free), we can write and deliver a project that will fit your needs and provide you with a product with which you can be proud and provides current and future users with a unique resource for learning, teaching and entertainment.

The Twynyrodyn Transition Project allowed Year 6 & 7 pupils to produce a large scale digital print (x 2). The design reflects Aboriginal art and the journey the children take from Primary to Secondary School.

One advantage of the digital print is that you can print as many copies as are required. The designs are giclee printed (permanent ink) on canvas and mounted on a stretcher before hanging.

Ysgol Tirdaunaw Welsh Primary School celebrated their 10th anniversary by producing a large scale digital print for the school and giving the children some serious Photoshop skills into the bargain.

Interactive CD and DVD ROMs can be made on any subject with any age group either in school or with a community group. “Power People” was made with Guides and Brownies, the WWII CD was made with Yr 6 pupils.

“Let’s Explore . . .” is an interactive, intergenerational, local history project but any subject can be used.

“Taking the LeAP” is a transition project for Years 5 - 8.

“Markham Memories” was one of the first “Let’s Explore . . .” projects. The CD ROM and large scale digital print include the children’s memories as well as those of elders in the village.

Archive photography and other documents as well as digital photography and illustration were used to design the print for Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Twynyrodyn.

“Cwmcely - Valley of the Holly” is a digital print and CD ROM project based on a woodland environment and carried out with 1 Infant, 2 Junior schools and the local Residents Association.
